Proper Use of the HSF Mark
The HSF Mark is to be used as a label on product packaging for products manufactured under the control of a hazardous substance process management system that has been certified as being compliant with the IECQ QC 08000 HSPM specification. The mark can only be used by HSF members who have signed a HSF partner agreement.
For the details on using the HSF Mark on product packaging, see the "HSF Mark Identity Guidelines".
Other Use of HSF Marks
If you are a member of the HSF program in a partner category other than a manufacturer, the HSF Mark can be used by your company to promote your commitment to the HSF program on marketing, sales and promotional literature. This mark can only be used by HSF members who have signed a HSF Partner Agreement.
For the details on using the HSF Mark on promotional material, see the "HSF Mark Identity Guidelines".
Writing About the HSF Program
The Hazardous Substance Free name should always be written out and followed by (HSF), as an example, "Hazardous Substance Free (HSF)".
The trademark™ or registered® symbol must be used the first time the words "Hazardous Substance Free (HSF) Mark" or "HSF Mark" appear within a print document or on a Web site.
When writing about Hazardous Substance Free, it is correct to state that a product "was manufactured under the control of a hazardous substance process management system that has been certified as being compliant with the IECQ QC 080000 HSPM specification and indicates a declaration by the manufacturer that the product is compliant with the requirements of RoHS (2002_95 EC), WEEE (2002-96 EC), or REACH (EC) No 1907/2006 directives, as applicable."
