Products in more than 40 categories are eligible for the HSF Mark™. These products have been manufactured under the control of a hazardous substance process management system that has been certified as being compliant with the IECQ QC 080000 HSPM specification and indicates a declaration by the manufacturer that the product is compliant with the requirements of RoHS (2002_95 EC), WEEE (2002-96 EC), and REACH (EC) No 1907/2006 directives, as applicable.

One of the main goals of the HSF program is to develop a process management approach that ensures products are free from hazardous substances, starting with design and continuing through the delivery to customers. Products that are produced under a hazardous process management system certified as complying with the IECQ QC 080000 specification qualify for using the HSF Mark on product packaging.
HSF product specifications are periodically revised to ensure relevancy under current market conditions. The HSF program strives to make certain that specifications differentiate the most efficient products and move the market toward greener and more environmentally responsible products.
As companies no longer are certified under the IECQ QC 080000 specification, their associated products will be removed from the product lists and the information will be listed here.
How a Product Earns the HSF Mark (logo)
What is HSF?
The HSF program is a voluntary partnership among consumers, manufacturers, retailers, small businesses, educational institutions and government, united in the pursuit of a common goal: to protect our environment for future generations by the manufacturing, sales, procurement and use of hazardous substance free products.
The HSF Mark (logo) was established to:
- Provide a method to identify those products that have been produced under a rigorous and internationally recognized process management system that ensures all aspects of the product's design, procurement, manufacture and delivery is controlled to eliminate the occurrence of hazardous substances.
- Make it easy for consumers to identify and purchase those products that are hazardous substance free and have been designed and manufactured responsibly by eliminating contaminants and protecting everyone's health without sacrificing performance, features, and comfort.
How Does HSF Choose Which Products Earn the HSF Mark?
Companies that have established a hazardous substance process management system and have been certified to be in compliance with the internationally recognized specification IECQ Hazardous Substance Process Management QC 080000 are authorized to apply to be a partner in the HSF program and identify their products as being hazardous substance free by applying the HSF Mark to the packaging of products being produced under the certified program.
